Book Description:

Erin Brewster is nervous enough on her first day of teaching at Hawthorn Hill. But the way Zach Shepherd looks at her with his dark and dreamy blue eyes really throws her off her game. He simply has to walk past her to send her heart racing. Although he’s eighteen and a senior, he’s still just a student—and very off limits. To let her eyes linger over his body, to fulfill her fantasies would be more than inappropriate. It would be career suicide.

Three years after his graduation from Hawthorn, Shep has returned as a member of the faculty—and he hasn’t forgotten his favorite teacher, the prettiest woman he’s ever seen. When they finally have a chance to get to know each other, they realize they share a common interest: kink. In fact, Shep has learned a lot about the subject during his time away and is ready to teach Erin a thing or two. He’ll soon have her begging to be held after class.

As their relationship comes under scrutiny, the ties that bind Shep and Erin may begin to fray. But some bonds grow stronger under pressure…

Erotic, romantic, sexy and tender! This forbidden romance is a sweet story about second chance love!

Erin is an admired teacher at Hawthorn Hill and loved by everyone. Since her grandfather worked for Hawthorne years ago, she practically grew up there and it’s what she’s always wanted to do–and where she felt at home most. Erin quickly becomes the apple of everyone’s eye including one of her students. 😮 (Don’t worry guys, he’s 18!) Though she would never cross that line, she can’t deny there’s a magnetic attraction with Mr. Sheperd.

Shep is a great kid coming from a not so stable family. He’s worked his ass off to get into Hawthorn and continues to push himself and focus on why he has to. He loves studying there more than anyone, but the one thing he loves most is seeing Ms. Brewster. He treasures the small moments they have and knows it can’t go any further while he’s there. So, he graduates and continues to Northwestern…

…only to return to Hawthorn as a teacher, and finally win Erin’s love. ❤

Reading this book was like reading two installments; it was great! We first get a look of how life was at Hawthorn while the forbidden desire Erin and Shep feel looms overhead. The attraction of wanting someone unavailable is strong and the excitement of wanting the two characters together was thrilling and heart-stirring. When we meet Shep he’s a caring, loving, and understanding young man with a big heart. Erin’s a sweet, wholesome girl with a need for more from her relationships. However, when time passes and the two get reacquainted, sparks fly and the pull between them is stronger than ever.

Fast forward: Shep is all man now and Erin can’t stay away anymore. 😉 Thanks to him, Erin’s longing to have someone she feels completely comfortable being with is over. He helps her be open and fearless to explore the sexy, naughty side she’s kept hidden for so long.

I really enjoyed this story and think you will too! I love second chance loves and this one was the perfect blend of sexy and sweet. You’ll fall in love with Shep and adore this romance! Check it out!
