Author: Helena Hunting
Genre: Contemporary Romance/New Adult
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Book Description:

Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth, and he was drafted into the NHL during his first year of college. After five years of deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies across the Continental US and parts of Canada, Miller is ready for a girlfriend. A real girlfriend of the non-bunny variety. One he takes on dates and doesn’t jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.

Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike Alex Waters, center, team captain and all round nice guy—who happens to be dating his step-sister—Miller’s manwhore reputation is well earned, and not blown out of proportion by the media. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about having a girlfriend. But he’s determined to make it happen.

What he doesn’t take into account is the amount of time and effort relationships require, or that constantly letting bunnies take selfies with him to post all over social media isn’t going to win him any points in the boyfriend department. Miller learns—not so quickly—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

Review:

Full of laughs and heart. ❤

Buck is the typical playboy that loves getting the attention from girls all around him…

…until he sets his eyes on Sunny.

Sunny becomes his guiding light and the only thing he can think about. He tries as hard as he can to change his ways and be someone she’d date because that’s what he wants most. Buck wants to be the kind of guy Sunny could see herself with. However, that’s not as easy as it sounds.

Due to his past escapades, his numerous sprees with women are like a dark cloud following him wherever he goes–no matter how much he tries to shake his public image. While he works to change the perception people have of him (especially Sunny’s), things don’t always go as planned. It seems like one shot (or image) gets construed in a way that makes him look shameless and guilty of cheating or worse! Buck puts his mind at ease knowing the situations he gets in are only mixups and doesn’t worry about what people think of him. The only one he does worry about hurting is Sunny.

Sunny is a pretty innocent girl, so dating Buck is a BIG stretch for her. Now she’s kind of wondering if it’ll always be like this with him. Every time they reach an understanding, some other problem arises that she has to forgive him for. She second guesses a lot, but neither have been happier than when they’re together. 😀

Buck gets himself into THE MOST outlandish ordeals, but somehow Sunny follows because their affection for each other is unfading. ❤

Funny moments ensue with these two, with appearances from Violet (Buck’s step-sister and her fiancee–who’s also Sunny’s overbearing brother–Alex)! 😉 What a mix!

Hope you enjoy this light and fun read!
