Review: True Devotion by Liora Blake

True Devotion CoverTitle: True Devotion (True #2)
Author: Liora Blake
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Book Description:

Find out if rock sensation Simon can break through tough-girl Devon’s steely exterior—if he can keep his head on straight, that is—in this second sizzling romance in the True series!

Devon Jenkins is a feisty blonde, and Simon Cole is the arrogant, sexy guitarist playing in her brother’s band. When they met for the first time, it went something like this: He hit on her, she shot him down, he made a lewd joke, she told him he was an idiot.

In the two years since then, not much has changed. From the way Simon flirts shamelessly with any set of ovaries within a 100-mile radius, Devon knows the smartest thing she can do is keep an impenetrable wall between them.

But sometimes the smart choice isn’t necessarily the right one…

Sweet, romantic, and sexy! This was a great and charming read that had me hooked at every page turn! ❤

Devon isn’t the white picket fence type, and she knows that Simon has that in his future. They don’t seem like they would have many things in common, but Simon knows so much about her. After being friends for a few years, and even with the little time they spend together, Simon knows Devon more than she imagined. How does he know her favorite foods and drinks if he isn’t a creepy stalker! 😉 Simple: because when she’s in the room, he can only see her.

Simon has had his eyes (and heart) set on Devon since the day they met. Though they flirt and tease each other every chance they get, nothing has ever flourished. That is until Simon can’t let another day go by without letting Devon know how he feels. Though he’s great friends with her brother and is part of the band, Simon really wants nothing more than to give things with Devon a shot because he knows she’s the real deal. He doesn’t care what will happen, as long as he gets his girl. 🙂

*sigh* Simon was pretty perfect. I mean, he was willing to take ANY side of Devon he could. One of my favorite parts of the book was when he told her that he would be waiting for her no matter what, and that he’d always be there. *HEART MELTS*

AWWWW!! I know, right?! Like I said, he’s perfect! PLUS, when you find out his back-story it will pull at your heart strings. I loved that Simon was a man and not a young guy who still has growing up to do. He’s got his life together, a great head on his shoulders, and a wonderful personality. He listens, he’s sweet, and only wants to make Devon happy for as long as possible. If only, she can see that no one else can love her like he can.

“I love your lean, sexy body, your gorgeous green eyes, all this blonde hair, but I’m also a big fan of what goes on up here.” Taking his index finger, he taps the center of my forehead gently. “Even if it confuses the shit out of me sometimes.

“I also think nearly everything that comes out of these pretty lips is hilarious and awesome.” His gaze drops to my mouth, running the same index finger over my full bottom lip.

“And, here? This part of you?” He taps against my chest, over my heart, and then proceeds to drag his finger lazily over my skin in a random pattern. “I really dig this part.”

YES! I absolutely ADORED this power couple! This series keeps getting better and better!

I read this all in one sitting. It was that entertaining and riveting! Fall in love with Simon! Run & 1-click! 😉
