On the heels of Dirty Secret, here is a sizzling hot romance featuring another Burke brother and the girl he can’t resist, from the New York Times bestselling author of the Game series.
Walking out on my wedding wasn’t my best idea.
Neither was throwing my cell in the lake and taking a job as PA for Dirty B, America’s favorite rock band, complete with every teen girl’s dream man, the eldest of the Burke brothers.
Tate Burke is pure sex. Women actually throw their panties at him during shows. And Ella Dawson is the lucky little thing that gets to escort their fangirling butts out when he’s done with them.
He’s a cocky son of a bitch, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. Every now and then Ella gets a rare glimpse of the Tate behind the “bad boy” act, and it attracts her in the most annoying way. The most annoying, heart-thumping, panty-wetting way.
When her abusive ex turns up at the hotel room Ella and Tate are sharing, raging mad, she knows she’ll need more than just a little protection. Tate sees red, and Ella can’t help but lean on him, despite his bad-boy ways.
And now? Now, he’s in a whole lot of trouble.
Full of heart, hunger, and passion! 😀
This was a GREAT second installment in “The Burke Brothers” Series! I absolutely adored Tate and admired Ella’s perseverance.
Tate has always been a bit of a player, the “takes ’em and leaves ’em” type. He doesn’t even bother with names because it’s only one-nighters for him. However, underneath all his manwhore ways, he’s a big family guy (like his brother Connor–who you might remember from Dirty Secret)! His niece is the prime example of how different he is (and can be) when surrounded by his loved ones. He refuses to be tied down like his younger brother because he’s all about the rockstar lifestyle, until…
Ella! 😉 She’s the firecracker that has been waiting to rock Tate’s world.
She’s running from her past due to her abusive ex-fiancée. She got away the moment she could and kept driving until she reached her destination: go on tour and work for Dirty B, the number one band in the nation. She was hoping for a big change, but what she wasn’t expecting was to fall for the biggest cad around. 😎
When Tate and Ella meet, it’s an instant attraction for both of them. Neither are looking for ANY kind of relationship considering their pasts, but they can’t deny that they feel more than comfortable around each other. They feel at ease and more themselves than ever.
Tate is completely different when he’s with Ella. He’s caring, nurturing, annoying as usual but in a loving way. 😉 He’s the complete gentleman that no one thinks he can be. To complement him, Ella feels safe and protected with Tate. She trusts him, which is a huge deal for her considering she doesn’t trust anyone–including her own family. But, Tate has brought her a new sense of life and made her realize she’s loved for real. He shows her the love she deserves. *sigh*
This book was wonderful and sweet. If you love cocky rockstars who fall head over heels for a brilliant girl, this romance is for you! I loved these two! I enjoyed their story immensely and can’t wait to read Aidan’s book because I know it’s coming! It has to! 😀
I leave you with one of my (many) favorite quotes from this book! Enjoy! ❤
“Bro,” Connor replies just as quietly. “You miss her, you follow her. You love her, you go the fuck after her no matter what it takes. You love her, man, you follow her until your feet fuckin’ burn against the ground, because that’s love. I’d follow Sofie to the center of the Earth if I had to. You love Ella, I see it, and you gotta do whatever the hell it takes to get her back in your arms.”
