Review: The Mistake by Elle Kennedy

The Mistake CoverTitle: The Mistake (Off-Campus #2)
Author: Elle Kennedy
Genre: New Adult/Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Book Description:

He’s a player in more ways than one…

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.

Now he’s going to need to up his game…

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

Remember when I read and then RAVED about The Deal (the first book in Elle’s Off-Campus Series)? Welllllll, this second installment was absolutely AMAZING too! Logan and Grace were great together and I was hooked to their story from the get go! 😀

Grace was such a great rounded character. At first, you think she’s this shy, soft-spoken girl, but then you realize girl’s got a voice! She sticks up for herself, and doesn’t take anyone’s BS! I love that! She’s also got a really big heart. She cares for her friends and family, but more so, she’s there for them whenever. She’s loyal TO. A. FAULT., and just the type of girl you want in your corner! 😉

Logan is so confused with his feelings, but it all becomes so clear when he realizes Grace is it for him. She’s the one he can’t stop thinking about, and quite frankly he doesn’t want to! He likes loves being around her, and hasn’t laughed and been himself in so long. Sure, he has even more to deal with when we find out about his family, and even then he’s more sure than ever that Grace is the bright light out of the dark tunnel he’s headed for. Aww! ❤

These two were so much fun to read about! While they try to figure things out, Grace has Logan go through some hysterical loops to win back her trust. AND BOY, are some outrageous! 😀

I’ll say it again: I absolutely–positively–love Elle’s writing! No doubt about it! This series is wonderful, and full of such great personalities. After reading The Deal, I knew this series would be something I would have to 1-click ASAP, and it’s because these stories are just too great. They’ll keep you entertained, swooning, and wanting more!

Definitely a must read!! Grab your copy and get addicted to these books!

Catch up on the series! 😀

Well, I don’t read much of YA or NA… does the first part of Broken Pieces by Riley Hart count? It’s a 2014 book, but I read it this year and it really is a 5* for me 😉
