Book Description:

What happens when a bad-boy celebrity rocker meets a small-town bestselling novelist? Find out in this first book in the sizzling new True series by Liora Blake!

While most novelists would consider jetting off to Hollywood for a TV interview rather exciting, small-town Montana writer Kate Mosely finds it all a bit exhausting. After losing her husband in a car accident where she was behind the wheel, Kate has finally found her bearings in the world again, rebuilding a simple but stable life. And even if that means a lot of lonely nights watching old movies and quiet days writing obituaries for her hometown newspaper, Kate’s not sure she’s ready for her life to change—again.

Until she shares the stage—and a whole heap of carnal gazes—with rock star Trevor “Trax” Jenkins. Despite his intimidating on-stage bravado, underneath it Kate discovers a man with a Rilke poem tattooed on his arm, an appreciation for cronuts, and a snarky wit that matches her own.

As she and Trevor explore their heated chemistry, the scarred parts of Kate’s heart begin to heal, making room for a love so passionate it makes her want long-forgotten things equal parts naughty, heart-swelling, and joyful. But when a searing exposé in a trashy gossip magazine sends Kate running, will it threaten their chances at forever?

Beautiful blend of sweet and sexy!

True North is about two broken people blinded by their guilt (and regret of their past) that find each other and learn to love all over again.

Trevor is a hot, bad-ass rockstar, but on the inside is a kind and affectionate sweetheart. He cares deeply for his family and would do anything for them and his closest friends. When he meets Kate (or Katie–as only he calls her) he feels this unfazed and refreshing spirit about her. Once they hang out, Katie begins to see that his troubles are something she can relate to. He’s also the only one who has been able to make her feel anything but ok since her husband passed. Trevor makes her feel sexy, wanted, and most of all, loved again. ❤

It’s hard to get past such a big loss, and Katie has kept herself secluded. She takes a shot at this thing with Trevor because she’s never felt this way before. Katie’s insecurities and fears due to her past, make it hard for her to envision a future with Trevor. However, he’s patient, tells her how he feels from day one, and she feels the honesty behind his words and actions. She wants to be happy again, and Trevor’s devotion brings out the best in her.

This was a great story that will make you smile and warm your heart! The writing was wonderful and on point! I absolutely loved how Katie spoke her mind, was sarcastic, and wasn’t into all the hoopla of dating this mega star. Actually on the contrary, she flat out tells him he isn’t a Daddy Warbucks to her Annie! ha! She’s got her own life and doesn’t like money being thrown around just to please her. She’s a simple, no-nonsense kind of girl, and I LOVED that!

I hope you all enjoy Trevor and Katie’s story as much as I did! I’ve already 1-clicked Book 2 and hope you do too! 😉
