Interview with Katy Evans – PART TWO

Here it is! Part TWO of our exclusive interview with Katy! 😀

I can’t thank her enough for answering our questions!

Get ready for Manwhore, everybody! You don’t want to miss it! 😎

Give us the 140 character TWEET description of the first book in your NEW series, Manwhore.

One young journalist puts her heart and body in danger when the exposé she’s writing leads her into the arms of a notorious womanizer…

What inspired the story of Malcom a.k.a Saint?

Manwhore really took root when I when to a signing in Chicago. It was on this trip where I first met my hero. He was on a social media page that made the news, and the sight of him really caught my attention. There he was, this hot, young billionaire, with more than a million online followers. By the time I returned home a week later, I was still haunted by the look in his eyes. He was a mystery that I simply had to unravel, and when he started appearing in my dreams, I set out to do just that in Manwhore. 🙂

Name one thing your heroine, Rachel, would not leave home without.

Her phone.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why? Hardest?

I’m in love with so many Manwhore scenes. But my favorite is still the part where Saint calls out his friends and flatly tells them Rachel is…well, his. Swoon!

The hardest part was the end.

Which character spoke the loudest to you?

Rachel, because she’s my narrator. But my most engaging, elusive and addictive character is Malcolm.

If there was a soundtrack to Manwhore, what songs would be on it?

I do have a playlist and I love the songs in this particular playlist. My favorite among them is PEACE by O.A.R. it fits the book perfectly.

Which of your characters would you like to meet in person and why?

All of them! I love my characters like children, family, those whom you’d do anything for. I would love to meet them in person and, in many ways, feel like I already have.

What would you say to that person? What would you be doing?

Well, let’s see now….I guess we’d pretty much do what we do now, except in a setting where people actually get to see us and we get to see, rather than feel, each other. We’d have a nice dinner where I get to drill them about everything. I’d touch their hand to make sure they were really sitting in front of me. I might cry a little. Or complain if they gave me trouble. And then I’d pay the tab and tell them to go please live their HEA, get married and have many babies.

If you could only write one more story what would it be?

Oh no. Only one? I will be miserable if I can’t write more. So in that case, I would make this one last then. I would make it terribly long, and it would probably be an epic romance spanning many years – like, decades. :d

What project are you working on now?

Currently I’m finishing up MANWHORE +1, the continuation of MANWHORE, and I can’t wait to share with the readers!

Tease Questions

If you were a Looney Tunes cartoon character, which would you be?

My husband has always compared me to Taz the Tasmanian Devil. He says I’m simply a whirlwind. 🙂

Favorite childhood toy you wished you still had?

My Starlite horse, from Rainbow Brite. I used to think he’d come alive if I wanted it bad enough and he’d take me galloping up a rainbow.

Liam or Chris Hemsworth?

CHRIS! Oh, CHRIS. Always. He’s my #1.

Favorite ice cream flavor?

Vanilla. It goes with everything.

Is sexy a tight dress or t-shirt and jeans?

Where are we going? 😀

I guess it all depends on the occasion and my mood. If I feel flirty, a dress it is. If I’m exhausted, definitely t-shirt and jeans.

Early to bed or early to rise?

Late to bed and late to rise.

Favorite fictional male (or female) character you have NOT written?

Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. He is the rawest, most brooding hero I’ve ever read and has obsessed me for decades.

White and gold, or blue and black?

Blue and black! But…I admit I once was able to see white and gold. I’m still as puzzled as everyone else is. 🙂
