Book description:

Derek Block seeks revenge. Frankie Jordan seeks professional dominance. He wants her, she wants him. Lines that can’t cross begin to blur. Things start heating up as real estate gets real…

This is the first episode of a five-episode novella series.

Review:

AHH! Words can’t describe how addicting Marni’s stories really are. This first installment to her NEW novella series definitely keeps you wanting more, just like every other one of her books! 😀

We meet Frankie, a smart, business savvy, and emotionally unavailable girl. (I say that because I sense something has happened for her “not looking to date” position on guys, which makes her character even more fascinating.) She’s about to make a deal with the new man in town which she does all the time. Piece of cake, right?! However, she isn’t expecting for the man she’ll be hopefully working long hours with to be so attractive and make her weak at the knees! 😮

Derek’s a mysterious, hard working guy that likes to keep things under wraps. Not even his business prospects can get any real info on him, or even recent pictures! He’s a complete mystery but what we know so far makes him quite intriguing. *WINK*

When these two finally come together in a business arrangement, they know it’s going to be difficult hiding their attraction. Neither is wanting to let the other know or letting anything slip, but the sparks are definitely there and boy are they thriving!

From the moment they meet, the chemistry between them is electric! And, trust me, while you’re reading along you’re anticipating the moment when the two finally give in to their temptation. 😉

I’m really eager to continue this series! I’m hungry to find out what the future holds for Frankie and Derek! Bring on Episode Two!

Read along for a mini teaser of Unblocked, and meet Derek! ❤

Excerpt:

“Why don’t you come in?”

I was startled again by the sound of him, of his deep, alluring tone. I didn’t realize I was still hovering in the doorway. Closing most of the gap between us, I moved to one of the chairs.

I hooked my bag onto the back of it, his fingers slicing through the air as they reached for mine.

“Call me Derek.” He enclosed my hand with a pressing strength that I assumed was lightened for my benefit.

Though his stare remained on my face, I wasn’t able to keep mine on his. I needed a break, a second to get myself under control.

Control…

I had obviously lost that, though I didn’t understand why. Polished men were all I knew, all I had ever been attracted to: groomed and well-dressed, pretty and sharp, even cocky and somewhat selfish. They were certainly never burly or animalistic like Derek. So why was he having this kind of physical effect on me?
