Review: Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid

Neanderthal Seeks Human CoverTitle: Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City #1)
Author: Penny Reid
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Comedy
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Book description:

This is a full-length, 110k word novel and is the first book in the Knitting in the City series.

There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn’t know how to knit.

After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can’t help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan- aka Sir McHotpants- witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can’t afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn- the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies- to make her an offer she can’t refuse.

Lively, heart-warming, tender, sweet, funny as hell! AHH! I can’t stop gushing about this book! I loved it! I. F*ing. Loved. It! I FLOVED IT! 😀

Janie is such a brilliantly smart girl and is unlike anyone other female character I’ve read about. Her brain works at lightning speed and when she gets nervous–or really just all the time–she rambles facts left and right! She’s a master wiz! She’s only had one boyfriend and didn’t feel that “out-of-this-world” love that she hoped to find. She doesn’t feel pretty. She wears glasses and she’s socially awkward. If only she knew how beautiful she truly is, inside and out! ❤

Quinn is that sexy guy that Janie thinks is out of her league. All the girls are mesmerized by his good looks and sex appeal. But oh boy, once these two meet, the swooning levels are OFF THE CHARTS! Though she’s totally obvlious, he’s infatuated with her from the start! He sees how wonderful she is and can’t stay away. *swoon*

It’s official: I’m hooked with this series..

…and with Penny Reid. SMH

How have I not read Penny’s books before?! This was one of the best romantic comedies I’ve read! I laughed, I cringed, I smiled, I held my pillow. I even did that thing where you get SO excited that you have to change reading positions and kind of get up from your seat! Yep, I did a ton of that. 😉  The writing kept me addicted and eager for more. The storylines were greatly thought out (and so were the endless intellectual facts)! Even when you thought you knew what was coming next, you were wrong! This story definitely kept me on my toes, and I guarantee it will for you too!

Run and grab this delectable story! You’ll be glad you did! 😉

Oh, and P.S.! This fan-girl is dying to get her hands on the pretty: Scenes from the City. If anyone wants to give me a heads up on a giveaway of that book, I’ll love you forever. Otherwise, I’ll be counting the days till June 1st! *crazy eyes* 😉
