Review: Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat by Daisy Prescott

Confessions of a Tom Cat CoverTitle: Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat
Author: Daisy Prescott
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Book Description:

I, Thomas Clifford Donnely, am a manwhore.

I’ve been told I’m irresistible to women. Like catnip for a different type of pussy-cat. I guess you could call me a Tom Cat.

This is the story about how I lost my wingman, broke all my own rules, and found myself falling in love.

Tom Donnely isn’t the marrying kind, or the dating kind. Even after losing his #1 wingman to love, he doesn’t see the point in relationships. When his sister’s best friend returns to Whidbey Island and propositions Donnelly for a one-night stand, he breaks one of his biggest rules—no fooling around with his sisters’ friends. It’s just sex, nothing more. That’s what Tom does and does well.

What happens when “just sex” isn’t enough?

Hailey King is more than a match for Tom’s flirtations. She’s known him most of her life and has heard the rumors about his “skills” for years. When her perfectly planned future falls apart, will the last man she should ever fall for turn out to be more than a one-night stand?

Review:

Fun, entertaining, and sensational! ❤

It’s no secret that I enjoy reading anything from Daisy Prescott. Her stories are so infectious and spectacular. It’s like being on a diet for so long and then finally having your favorite treat. Diet being anticipating Daisy’s next book, and the treat being an irresistable Tom Donnely. 😎

Every story I’ve read from her is funny, sweet, heart-warming, clever, and charming in their own way.

Yep, I think that’s a pretty good mix! Wouldn’t you say? 😉

How she does it? I have no clue, but I know I’m always eager to start another one of her books. If you haven’t read any of them, you MUST pick them up, silly! They’re each a breath of fresh air and simply delightful. Tom Cat’s story was no exception. I might even say that it was my favorite so far!

Tom is a player, but an honest one. He doesn’t shy away from his fame of having amazing flirting skills (and dimples to match), but he also isn’t looking to be tied down anytime soon. He doesn’t do relationships. He likes the single life and he likes playing the field. Girls that flock to him know what they’re in for: something casual, no strings attached, and pure fun.

When he goes to his sister’s baby shower, the last thing he thought he’d find is his sister’s best friend all grown up and looking like a model slash amazon! She’s got legs for days and a sassy mouth to match. Hailey (a.k.a Idaho) is NOT the tomboy he remembered years ago. She’s got a killer body and personality to boot! The problem is: he doesn’t do romance. Like I said, he doesn’t date. He has a hard time remembering girl’s names sometimes! Though, it’s pretty obvious you know he won’t be able to forget Hailey’s. 😉

Tom and Hailey enter a spontaneous “fling” if you will (since we probably can’t mention the word “relationship”).  BUT…things get heated fast when their connection becomes a heck of a lot more than just a hook up, and not just for Hailey but Tom too. *sigh*

SQUEE! I want more Tom and Hailey! Their love story and attraction is magnetic! You’ll be glued to the book and smiling all the way through.

I don’t know if we’ll get more of their story, but I hope to get a little snippet into their lives after Confessions because I imagine it is oh so sweet. Did I mention another favorite bearded male makes a couple guest appearances? Yup, you read correctly! John Day (and Tom’s best friend) shows up being the perfect pal. PLUS, we get a peek about a huge milestone for him and Diane. *heart swells*

Hurry and grab your copy of Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat! I promise you’ll enjoy their romance! I read it twice in one week because I simply had too! It’s just that good! ❤

Check out the “Modern Love Story” Series! 😀

About the Author:

Daisy PrescottBefore writing funny contemporary romances about adults, I dreamed of being an author while doing a lot of other things. Antiques dealer, baker, blue ribbon pie-maker, fangirl, freelance writer, gardener, pet mom and wife are a few of the titles I’ve acquired along the way.

Born and raised in San Diego, my husband and I currently live in a real life Stars Hollow in the Boston suburbs with our dog, Hubbell, and an imaginary house goat.

Ready to Fall, my second novel, features John Day, the hot, sexy neighbor in my debut novel Geoducks Are for Lovers. Both can be read as standalones.

My third novel, Missionary Position, a contemporary romance/romantic comedy, will be released on June 10, 2014. It stars Selah Elmore, from Geoducks, and can be read as a standalone.
