Colin McKinney has wanted three things since he met Caroline “Charlie” Collins when he was a junior at Texas A&M University: to make her his wife, play professional football, and have a family. In the first three books of the Infinity Series, Colin and Charlie met, fell in love, broke apart, reunited eight years later, and got married. In the years they were separated, Colin became the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, but was still chasing his Super Bowl dream. Charlie graduated from Harvard Medical School, fulfilling her dream of becoming a doctor. In “Infinity.”, Charlie and Colin are facing their toughest challenge as a couple yet—finding the balance between their personal lives and career goals. Both are still fighting to have it all. In the final installment of the Infinity Series, will Colin get everything that he’s always dreamt of? And do Colin and Charlie ultimately find their happiness?
This book is part of the Infinity Series available on Amazon. The reading order is “Falling Into Infinity”, “From Now Until Infinity”, “Finding Infinity”, and “Infinity.”
There are very few series that I can say are my absolute favorites and I could pick up and read at any moment.
The “Infinity Series” by Layne Harper is one of them.
I am ab-so-lutely in love. The writing. The storyline. The characters. Their journeys, their struggles…AHHHHH!! It’s just too amazing. If you haven’t read them yet, please go and start with the first book: “Falling Into Infinity.” You won’t be disappointed in bringing Charlie and Colin’s story into your life. 😉
This final installment was a PERFECT ending to a very profound and intense relationship between two people who (despite loving each other very much) try to figure out how to not lose themselves in the whirlwind romance and still reach their personal goals in the process. I say their love story was profound because it is. The amount of adoration they have is immeasurable. Also, the lengths each will go to just to make the other happy, and at the same time trying not to make themselves unhappy, is inspiring. Relationships are about compromise. You can’t change anyone; especially if it’s someone you love. You love them for who they are, although you may not always agree with things they may do or say. Charlie and Colin grow up and withstand so many things together that they learned to value each other, and their familes and friends, much better. These two taught me how listening, being patient, and having the power to forgive, are important for a relationship to strive.
This story is intense because the problems and situations (though the backdrop may not be) are VERYYY real. They are problems that any couple, celebrity or not, face sometime in their romance. The need to want, and be with, each other at all times is very strong too…especially from Colin. 😉 He knows from the start that Charlie is his whole world, and makes sure she knows it every day. Though Charlie may not seem as committed to Colin, she loves him with every fiber in her being. He’s her world too and while facing her own personal struggles has Colin as her guiding light. ❤
Infinity, like I said, is the perfect ending to their story because you see them get their happy ending. Without really spoiling anything, you see how they made everything happen and made their dreams come true, together.
I can really talk about this story all day. *cries* It’s just too damn good. These characters are incredible and their stories are unlike any another books I’ve read. They are romance novels but they will really make you think about how you look at love. Bravo, Layne! I’ll read anything you write!! Keep them coming, please!! 😀
Go on! Catch up on the series NOW!

About Layne Harper:
Layne Harper is a mom, wife, book junkie, and sports fanatic. However, when the kids and husband are safely ensconced at school and work, she slips into her office with her three rescue dogs and writes until it’s time to drive carpool. Her children have no idea about her secret life (and they hopefully never will), and the dogs won’t tell. She’s always writing in her mind though and making notes on whatever is close by; envelopes, napkins, a kid’s homework…
