DC Author Event Spotlight: Wendy Higgins

DC Author Event - Wendy HigginsI met USA Today and New York Times Bestselling author Wendy Higgins at the DC Author Event.  It was certainly nice to find out that I’m not the only one who gets totally lost in the area where they live.  Wendy is an author where you can start talking to her about one thing and then the conversation morphs into something else, but you’re totally comfortable with it.  Conversations happen naturally with Wendy.  This trait is easily conveyed in the dialogue between her characters.  LOL!  This is from the novel Sweet Evil:

I want to introduce myself to every freckle on your body.

~Kaiden

I’m not going to lie, when she told me her favorite line from her books, I did an “Oooooooo, girl.  I need me some freckles!”  LOL!

Speaking of Kaiden, who I really, really need to read about, if she could only write one more story, it would be something fun from his point of view.  (Perhaps his point of view while he’s looking at my imaginary freckles. 😉 ).

Fans of Wendy are extremely happy she has shared her stories with the world.  Although getting feedback from others about her stories was scary, she wanted it.  In fact she loved her stories enough that she wanted to share them with everyone.  I think everyone can agree that if you create with love, people feel it in whatever you make.  It is obvious by Wendy’s success that she has put lots of love in her work.
