Wanted: Adventurous, open-minded man willing to try…anything…
As a popular sex blogger, Beatriz gets paid to have orgasms. So being on deadline the week of her sister’s wedding isn’t as rough as it sounds. There’s just one hitch: Bea’s assignment is to write a review of a sex position manual, but she doesn’t have a plus-one to play with.
The good news: Ben, the one who got away back in college, is also attending stag—and he’s as temptingly gorgeous as ever.
The bad news: Ben turned down Bea’s offer of graduation-night sex five years ago.
The best news: He’s not planning on making the same mistake twice….
Sometimes you just need a funny and sexy story to come along and perk your shelves back up…and that’s exactly what Misbehaving did for me. Bea is my kinda girl! I mean, who doesn’t want to be friends with a sex blogger who has sex toys shipped to them as often as I have Amazon send me books? She’s cool, funny, and in complete control of her sexuality and those are exactly the kinds of characteristics I want in the female leads in my books. Have no fear, there’s no simpering weaklings here!
So what does a girl like this, who seems to have everything, have missing in her life? A sex partner. Usually she’s not faced with this dilemma (come on, what guy would turn down a girl with the toys and knowledge base she’s got?) but in this instance, she’s completely out of men and low and behold, her newest assignment is to review a sex position book aptly titled THE MANUAL. Kinda hard to test and review all those chapters full of text and pictures without a man to mount or be mounted by. 😉
This is where Ben comes in. He’s hot, hard working, and successful. Only problem is, he’s sworn off women for a while. Not because he doesn’t enjoy them, which he’s certainly enjoyed plenty of them in the past, he’s just tired of playing the one nighters/weekenders games. Another fun element here…Ben and Bea have a past. Now let’s see what they do about it.
I won’t spoil the plot here because I’m not one of “those reviewers” but I will say that Bea and Ben certainly have what is needed to make the plot, and my heart, move. There are a multitude of laughs and chuckles to be had in this book and if you’ve ever met Tiffany, you will definitely see her come through in these lines. It may be a book about a sexy, sex blogger who’s looking for a partner but what you get is so much more and is exactly what my reading slump needed. Even though it was a plot based on the comedic play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, don’t let that sway you. If you are looking for the similarities, you can find them but if you have never read or seen the play, you will not be lost within these lines. I highly recommend this sexy novella to anyone looking for a fun and quick read and if you’ve never given Tiffany Reisz’ work a try, here’s your chance. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! 🙂
