Let’s Talk: Indie to Published Recap

Let's Talk Indie to Published

On Wednesday, November 20th we got the opportunity to Google Hangout with FOUR best-selling authors! 🙂 Joining us were Cora Carmack (Losing It Series), Rebecca Donovan (Breathing Series), Colleen Hoover (Slammed and Hopeless Series), and Ryan Winfield (South of Bixby Bridge, The Park Service Trilogy, Jane’s Melody)! Here are some highlights of what was shared:

  • How they felt after finishing their first manuscript
  • Attempts to getting published the traditional way
  • How (and if) they queried, and how they each dealt with rejection
  • Their experiences with being approached by publishing houses
  • How they balance time, work, and family
  • They answered some fan questions from Facebook, Google+, and YouTube Event Pages
  • Focus on creativity and writing over marketing
  • Tips on formatting your work for indie publishing
  • They also shared their upcoming projects, including new books releasing soon!
