Book description:

Elizabeth knows what’s expected of her, perfection. She’s the daughter of an Earl and expected to marry well, say and do the right things with a smile on her face when inside she’s dying for a chance to escape. Thanks to an inheritance her godmother left her years ago, her chance will come with her next birthday. Her hopes of escape abruptly end when Robert, her childhood nemesis that she hasn’t seen in over fourteen years, comes back into her life and does everything he can to drive her out of her mind even as he steals her heart.

He hated her.

At least, he tried to hate her, but it was so damn difficult to hate someone that he couldn’t live without. He tried to ignore her, tried to focus on anything but her, but nothing worked. Somehow she made her way into his heart and started to make him want things that he never though possible, made him smile and laugh even while she drove him out of his mind and started a legacy by turning him into…..

A Bradford.

Review:

I’ve said it a million times….R.L. Mathewson can do no wrong! EVERY single one of her books is a 5 star read for me. They’re just perfect. She’s the type of author that I will buy a book from just because it’s her. Her writing style is impeccable, and yet again, Truce does not disappoint! I read it all in one sitting and couldn’t put it down!

Her stories are hilarious, quirky, and entertaining. The characters are relatable and will win you over with their witty personalities. The men are (OH DEAR!) stubborn, but charming as hell! 😉 No pun intended.

As in all of the other “A Neighbor From Hell” books this one has a couple that will make your heart melt. Want to know how the Bradford boys became the men we all love? Find out in Truce! Elizabeth and Robert are lovebirds that you’ll admire and want to read more about! That love/hate relationship we all love to read is in full force here and you won’t want to miss it! I absolutely adored this couple and their love story!

If you haven’t read historical books, no problem! 🙂 This one I feel is told in such a modern way you’ll forget it takes place in the 19th century!

AND if you haven’t read any of R.L.’s books, RUN and get them now! They’re funny, sexy, and clever! Definitely a must read author! 🙂

About R.L. Mathewson:

R.L. Mathewson was born and raised in Massachusetts. She is known for her humor, quick wit and ability to write realistic characters that readers can easily relate to. She currently has several paranormal and contemporary romance series published including A Neighbor From Hell series.

Growing up, R.L. Mathewson was painfully shy and was known to hide behind a book or two. After high school she attended college, worked as a bellhop, fast food cook, and a museum worker until she decided to take an EMT course. Working as an EMT helped her get over her shyness as well as left her with some fond memories and some rather disturbing ones that from time to time show up in one of her books. When a back injury left her unable to work as an EMT any longer she began working in Residential homes only to discover that she just didn’t have the stomach for the job.

Today, R.L. Mathewson is the single mother of two young children that keep her on her toes and enjoy scaring the heck out of her with their antics. She has a bit of a romance novel addiction as well as a major hot chocolate addiction and on a perfect day she combines the two. When she’s not writing she’s playing online Scrabble, coloring with her kids, or trying to figure out how one of her kids managed to get a chocolate pudding footprint on the ceiling.
