Picking up where Beautiful Bastard left off, Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan continue their steamy, combative relationship.
Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his girlfriend. But after he refuses to take no for an answer, Chloe and Bennett find themselves with two plane tickets, one French Villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.
Well, what a pleasant surprise! I don’t know what took me so long to read this book; I’ve had it for ages. Maybe I was still hung up on that Beautiful Stranger. *SIGH* There will always be special place in my heart for Bennett and Chole. Their brand of bicker-bedding was one of a kind. There’s not too much of that in Beautiful Bitch as we’ve met up with them right after the end of Bastard. The couple is now in love, but the sex is still of the charts.
Christina and Lauren improved upon the relationship between Bennett and Chloe in this novella. Here, I saw love. That true, deep, unyielding, reckless kind of love. That, of course, means that Bennett is not really a bastard towards Chloe and she isn’t really a bitch. The spark between them is there but that zip of electricity we got whenever they would argue in Bastard isn’t. Frankly, if these two were at each others’ throats the way they once were, I’d have a serious problem continuing on in this relationship.
I enjoyed the flashbacks that Christina and Lauren put in the story. They chose the funniest/sexiets point in their relationship to reveal. It was sort of like meeting up with friends after they returned from a vacation. They bring up something they forgot to tell you the first time and you listen, enjoy, and laugh with them as they relive the moment.
If you’ve read Beautiful Stranger, you probably already know the major swoon that happens in this book. BUT you don’t know how it happened. I LOVED it. I would totally trade my person experience with theirs (mine involved a knife). In short, if you want a repeat of Beautiful Bastard, you may be disappointed. If you want to see a relationship progress into something better but still has heat, Beautiful Bitch is for you!
